PhoneLeveler guide
How to Check a TV Mount Is Level
Check the mounting plate before the television goes on it. A phone can help with alignment, but it cannot confirm a mount is safely installed.
Check the bracket first
- Read the TV and mount manuals and confirm the wall, fixings, and load rating are appropriate.
- Before final tightening, rest the phone along the plate’s straight top edge.
- Wait for Stable, make small adjustments, then tighten in the sequence the manufacturer specifies.
- Recheck the plate and, after mounting, the TV’s visible top edge.
Account for the finished setup
Cables, articulated arms, and the TV’s weight can change the final position. Keep fingers clear, use the recommended number of people, and do not alter a heavy mounted unit beyond manufacturer instructions.
When a phone is not enough
For large displays, masonry uncertainty, electrical work, or a complex wall mount, use the specified hardware and qualified installation help. A level reading is only one part of a safe installation.
